“Grounded” is a mini-comic about my experience with Depersonalization/ Derealization Disorder, or DP/DR.
I chose to use the visual metaphor of an astronaut floating through space to represent my disconnect with my own body and with the world around me.
With myself as the narrator, the voice reads like an introspective exploration of the experience, written as though I am expressing it to someone else.
