Movie Trailer: Voyage to Pluto

For this project, I was given a movie title (Voyage to Pluto) and a list of 4 characters: Snarky, two wiffles, a quirky robot, and a stowaway space snake. From this information, I had to create a plot, character designs, and a trailer for an imaginary movie.

In my movie, all of the characters go on a journey to Pluto to reuinite the two wiffles with the rest of the wiffles living on Pluto.

Snarky

Snarky has bushy, curly hair to match the cloud shape of the wiffles. He is the leader of the space crew, and makes all of the decisions. When one of the wiffles needs saving, he is the one who knows how to save him. he also holds the stowaway space snake in his pocket!

The Wiffles

For the design of the wiffles, I decided to make them look soft and squishy, which fits their innocent role in the story. In order to create a distinction between them, I made one happy and one sad, one having upturned antennae and the other having downturned ones.

Stowaway Space Snake

The stowaway snake saves the day in the movie. He slithers through the broken window in order to save the wiffle who has flown out into space. He is comically long, yet fits into the pocket of Snarky as well. He wears a space helmet at all times since he is a stowaway, and does not belong in outer space.

Quirky Robot

The robot is the pilot of the ship. I designed him as a flying robot with fire underneath him to propel him upwards. Even though he is a robot, and is mechanical, he is still rounded and somewhat soft so that he feels united with the rest of the characters in the movies.
